Tanarang is the Mudra (pen name) of Pandit Vishwanath Rao Ringe (1922–2011), a towering figure in the Gwalior Gharana. While legendary composers like “Sadarang” and “Adarang” defined the Khayal format in the 18th century, Tanarang is celebrated for enriching the modern repertoire with over 2,000 original compositions.
